In the Quest Of Love and Peace

You keep returning
Like an almost extinguished flame.
You lit me up.
Ablaze-
The black hole flickers in my womb,
Before erupting.

My lips part
Blow you in smoke.
The veins soothe
As their shadows rest in my eyes
To come back into life
There
Right there
Where
You reside
O Flame!

Prayers and cries
Blend
Consummate
Conjugate
To give you a thorny glow.

An incandescence par brilliance
Gallops through an unending tunnel:
Green springs to life
A poet is born.

Fumes germinate in your seeds,
Sprouting love
You pollinate my civilisation.

Your serenity ripples through an ocean of clouds
As the planets wait,
Around a ghastly bonfire,
With bated breath.

My love,
You breathe
Meaning into meaninglessness.
You make every chaos strike a balance
You bridge the seas with care
Guarding Moses' trails.

Every cell of this universe
Every wave of the ocean
Every bed of pearls and corals
Every successive phase of consciousness-
Lose their names and forms.
Arrivals and departures
Dissolve
In the untorn cord of the womb
As you realise your immortality
In harmony
In synthesis
In love.

I am sure it is not easy to write with such intensity. I loved reading it because your words conjure up an image of something that is very simple and exceedingly complex at the same time. I felt I was reading about creation ... of the universe?

Thank you for posting your comments. I always wait for your feedback, eagerly to say the least.

The image I was trying to portray was indeed simple: it talks of nothing but love. Intense, yes, as because nothing else can be more healing, more profound and more ethereal than love.

Most of us plunge in the dark and shove love as if it was an unwanted baggage, 'a waste of time' as some people say.
I, on the other hand, can't think of anything that can be truer than love; every cell of this universe survives and throbs with love. We are the creations of a loving almighty.

As Lennon said, "All we need is love".
This poem (and 'Make this world a better place to live in')was a simple effort of mine to remind people of the most fundamental emotion life has bestowed on us, something most of us, sadly, cease to remember. It's an attempt to jog people's memory about the power of love that echoes throughout all the multiverses!

I know ... love is essentially simple, yet it carries the seed of the universe. It is difficult to connect the two, yet, I think there is a connection. And when I read your poem -- I would have read it half a dozen times before posting my remarks -- I think I saw a glimpse of that connection. Keep writing Debarati. Please don't change your style ... keep writing the way you always do. All the best.

I am sure in the age Tinder, the passionate quest for love, which transcends into peace and tranquillity, expressed in words, experienced deep inside in itself is a beauty. Keep writing.... All the best.
